Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) | Quantitative Marketing
Drexel University, PA
I'm Mithila (mih·thee·luh), a Quantitative Marketing Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) with a minor in Computer Science at Drexel University (June 2023 expected, currently in the job market).
I use empirical modeling on large social media datasets to understand firms' strategies for online activism as well as their purpose-driven social media strategies promoting positive social change. I received the Best In Track Award at the 2022 Summer AMA for my research on the Digital & Social Media Marketing Track, which has been featured on Drexel University's Graduate College Website.
Substantively, my research interests are in the fields of digital and social media marketing, brand management and online strategies, and text analytics. My current projects employ applied econometric modeling, text analytics, and machine learning to quantitatively analyze over a million tweets to understand the causes and consequences of social media activism by brands and stakeholders.
Feel free to explore the site to learn more about my background, current projects, and my blogs.
