I'm Mithila (mee·thee·luh), currently a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Quantitative Marketing with a minor in Computer Science at Drexel University. I am set to graduate in June 2023 and am thrilled to begin the next chapter of my academic journey. In Fall 2023, I will be joining the Department of Marketing and Business Analytics at San José State University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
I'm an empirical quantitative marketing researcher with a focus on the intersection of marketing and data analytics. I analyze social media datasets using applied econometric modeling, text analytics, and machine learning to investigate firms' strategies for online activism and purpose-driven social media campaigns. My research interests include digital and social media marketing, brand management, and text analytics.
I received the Best In Track Award at the 2022 Summer AMA for my research on the Digital & Social Media Marketing Track, which has been featured on Drexel University's Graduate College Website.
Feel free to explore the site to learn more about my background, current projects, and my blogs.
